Origins of the Arcetri Name

Arcetri is a small town near Florence, Italy and home to renowned inventor and scientist Galileo.  During the height of his career, Galileo moved to Arcetri to study, build and test his inventions and to publish his observations.  Leaving a prestigious professorship at the University of Pisa, many thought Galileo was retiring.

Yet Arcetri became the venue for many of Galileo’s most profound observations and discoveries.  One of the most renowned inventions is the telescope, which enabled Galileo to prove the revolutionary idea that the earth revolved around the sun.  This had a profound impact on the course of science and our lives today.

Using this as our inspiration, the Arcetri Group focuses on developing tools and strategies to expand our clients insight and transform insights into opportunities.
